Primal Methods of Sports Speed Movements

Over the past few years, there has been a big push on “Primal” emphasis. Primal movement, Primal Foods, Primal Patterns, etc….

As I was thinking about, this Primal emphasis it dawned on me. Everything I have taught for the past 25 years has been an emphasis on allowing the “Primal” or original intuitive patterns of reactive speed occur as they are meant to. You could say my methods are “Primal Speed”! The fight or flight mechanism is what my methods have been built on.

Ground Breaking 2 is a teaching tool of Primal Methods of speed movements.

Teaching multi-directional speed isn’t about designing speed movements around a system or drills. It is about allowing instinctive consistent patterns of reactive speed to be embraced and refined. Give the athletes natural “Primal” movements the support it needs to grow and expand. Don’t try to corral it. Allow it to lead us to greater coaching.
